Here are 50 Christmas Candy Recipes to make for gifts, serve at parties, or simply enjoy!

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! Well…okay, not exactly. I mean it is a wonderful time of the year if you’re like me and adore fall, but it’s not Christmas yet, technically. But is that minor technicality stopping us from thinking about Christmas cookies and confections galore? Nope, you bet it’s not. The truth is, we’ve always got sweets on the brain and we can’t help but get excited about special holiday morsels. We aren’t having visions of sugarplums, but we are perpetually having visions of chocolate, and all kinds of candy.

I actually grew up loving Christmas cookies, rather than Christmas candy. The one exception? My great grandmother’s homemade fudge. My mom has been making it for years, and awhile back I started making it myself. Each year, before Christmas, we’ll make two batches — one with walnuts, and one without. It’s best eaten really cold, in tiny chunks, cut in between various trips to the refrigerator. It’s super sugary and rich, which is why we only make it once a year, and isn’t that what holidays are about? Celebrating traditions and making memories with your family. It is in ourbook! Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without that fudge.

Last year I mademarshmallows for the first time and they were glorious. I packaged them in little cellophane bags with candy cane-striped baker’s twine, and tied the bag round a jar of hot cocoa mix, to give as gifts. It was such a fun DIY! I also adore making salted caramels. The older I’ve gotten, the more fun I have tinkering with candy-making. I feel like a mad scientist, hovering over a pot of bubbling caramel!

So please do excuse us if this Christmas candy roundup is just a wee bit early, but we simply couldn’t help ourselves. We went a little wild, and found not 15, not 20, but50amazing candy recipes that you’re totally going to want to make in a couple of months (or maybe even before)! From toffees and brittles to basically any type of truffle you could possibly want — we’ve got your holiday candy cravings covered!
