T45 Introduction: Following an unplanned hospital admission after the administration of Lu-177 PSMA, radiation exposure measurements were obtained from the patient room and nursing support staff for each of seven days of admission. Data was collected, recorded, and analyzed to assess the exposure risk from recently treated nuclear medicine therapy patients. Methods: Approximately 48 hours after the uneventful administration of 197.3 mCi Lu-177 Vipivotide Tetraxetan (Pluvicto), an 82-year-old male patient was admitted to the inpatient unit of our facility with a diagnosis of perforated appendicitis. Upon alert from medical staff, radiation safety personnel deployed exposure monitoring equipment to the unit approximately 65 hours after therapy administration. Education on ALARA was distributed to the care team staff, and all care team members were instructed to use standard precautions, including booties, when entering the patient room and handling bodily fluids. The room was posted as radioactive, lined with absorbant paper in high traffic areas, and monitored by radiation safety personnel. Daily exposure rate measurements were obtained via ion chamber from the patient, the nearest charting area (approximately 1 meter from bedside), and an electronic dosimeter was issued to the care team member assigned to the patient each shift. All patient-generated waste with potential contamination was stored in a marked area, and kept in the patient room for later removal/decay by radi...
